What will you do?

Job Summary:

The Regional Manager of Quality and Continuous Improvement will develop, plan and execute the strategy that results in eliminating waste, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing quality. The Regional Manager of Quality and Continuous Improvement will also lead and execute process improvement projects through their knowledge of manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, distribution, and engineering. This position will lean heavily on experience as a Lean Six Sigma transformation leader with a broad cross-functional background and be held accountable for the measurement, prioritization, and review of major Operational projects across all Sites.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Help senior leadership define the Terzo Operational Excellence Road Map.

• Provide leadership and talent development including a focus on employee engagement and cross training for coverage

• Serve as a change agent working collaboratively within and across departments, functions, and locations to help implement a culture of continuous improvement.

• Provide thought leadership and influence change at all levels of the organization.

• Manage Supply Chain improvement projects processes from initial concept through to final implementation in the areas of Kaizen & Lean Six Sigma.

• Develop strategic deployment methodology as a part of the overall Operations.

• Drive and share best practices through the creation and use of centralized communications forums and tracking tools. Proactively identify and promote sharing of learnings and best practices across regions.

• Facilitate Improvement Projects such as Kaizen, acting as an advisor to cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in a compressed timeline, to identify, diagnose and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

• Manage tools, reports, and value add information to identify new initiative opportunities and overcome obstacles in achieving current targets.

• Define the best practices for Operations. Work cross-functionally (e.g. Corporate, Directors, Site Managers, Maintenance Supervisors) to implement an optimized approach for production, cost and ROI.

• Identify barriers to implementation and develop and propose solutions that address both business needs and customer satisfaction.

• Conduct analysis of business processes across the organization, identify gaps in the business process, determine its impact to the organization, and recommend action plans and timeline to address these issues. (i.e., improve Operational Metrics such as Cost Per C-Gen, RPH, CPR and C-Gen per Headcount).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar required.

• A minimum of five (10) years in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Operations or Supply Clain Management.

• Experience Leading Continuous Improvement teams including Kaizen workshops.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Experience:

• 10 plus years’ direct management experience in a supply chain discipline e.g. Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, Planning, Manufacturing

• Experience of using LEAN/Six Sigma processes to deliver solutions.

• Previous experience leading the implementation of projects in large supply chains

• Leading cross functional/remote teams

• Preferred experience in Supply Chain Project Management

• Skilled with the use of Microsoft and other business software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, etc.

• Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and cross-functional collaboration for all levels in the organization

• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements

• Proven project management skills with demonstrated ability to drive projects that require cross-functional resources

• Must be highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills

• Experience in completing analyses utilizing Kaizen, Six Sigma, Statistical tools, Lean tools and other techniques for data analytics

• Self-starter able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Ability to quickly develop and execute a plan amongst ever changing priorities

• Proficient in Microsoft applications – Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Word

• Strong financial acumen

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires 75% travel.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
